Here is the latest report on the status of trails in Truckee. The National Forest Closure applies to 9 California Forests through September 17th. However, the smoke has cleared a bit and most of us are looking to get out. The question is where to ride, it's a good idea to check before you go. Tahoe Donner/ Alder Creek Adventure Center

The Tahoe Donner trail system is open and beautiful, with views of the Truckee area and lots of single tract to enjoy.

Donner Lake Rim Trail

This trail is on Donner Land Trust property so it is open. Please be respectful and aware that we are in a high fire danger time. No Sparks! DL Rim trail is getting a bit loose and dusty in places. It connects to the Tahoe Donner Adventure center which is also open because it is private property. There is lots of riding to do in this area.

Truckee River Legacy Trail

The Legacy Trail is a 6 mile long paved trail that runs along the Truckee River to the Glenshire neighborhood.

Martis Valley Loop/ Thompson Memorial Trail

This is a beautiful trail in the heart of the Martis Valley. This is a double tract dirt trail suitable for walking or riding and is about 5 miles long.

Burton Creek State Park/ Tahoe XC

This area is the Tahoe Cross Country Center in the winter and it offers miles of beautiful trails. Access from Dollar point in Tahoe.
