Here is the latest report on the status of trails in Truckee The smoke from the surrounding fires is thick and prohibitive. We are hoping the wind picks up and clear it out. Click here to view a good website to check air quality in Truckee

Donner Lake Rim Trail

DL Rim trail is getting a bit loose and dusty in places. We have had a little bit of rain that helped, but the smoke has hindered our riding!

Sawtooth Trail

Sawtooth is riding great! The bit of rain made a big difference! There are quite a few loose spots from all the trail work but the area is open for riding and the trails go on and on in this area. Add lower Big Chief or Two Bridges/Two beavers and a Bear loop to make a big ride in this area.

Emigrant Trail

Emigrant trail is prime right now! The trail is in great shape but it gets hot mid-day. We try to plan our rides for the early morning to avoid the hot afternoon sun. Ride all the way to Stampede reservoir and take a dip!

Jackass Trail

Jackass is a fun flow trail that is in fabulous riding condition. This short loop has lots of fun flow features and can get you on your game for jumping gaps and sending over jumps. Jackass is a shorter loop, about 45 min. of riding so many people opt to do a few laps. Jackass has become a very popular trail, so remember your trail etiquette and enjoy the ride!
