This scenic ride goes thru Truckee, around Donner Lake and up the historic "Old 40" road accross Rainbow Bridge to Sugal Bowl Ski Area crossing the Sierra Crest. This is a challenging 18 mile ride with 1500 vertical ft of climbing.
This highly recommended e-bike ride starts from the shop and climbs up the peaceful Trout Creek bike path and winds around the Tahoe Donner Ski Area via a quiet neighborhood Rd. Great views, tough hills, and fast, fun decent. You can stop and enjoy lunch at Pizza on the Hill, or pick up a great sandwich from Z's Deli.

Martis Peak climbs high above the lake to offer views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Pacific Crest. It is a steady climb up paved forest service road with little to no car traffic. It leads to Martis Peak fire lookout which has sweeping views of the Martis Valley, Donner Lake and the entire Truckee area.
